Find your place to live, connect and feel at home.

Live & Connect

A person hangs a Nebraska pennant on a wall in a dorm room decorated with school-themed items.

Live & Connect is about the everyday places and experiences that help students build a life at NEBRASKA. It includes where students live, where they eat, where they gather, how they move around campus and Lincoln, and the spaces they use to meet, study, host events and spend time with others.

This section is especially important for students who live on campus, but many of these resources support all students, including commuter students, student organizations and anyone looking for a stronger connection to campus life.

Live & Connect

I live on campus and want to feel more connected.

Residence halls are more than a place to sleep. They are where students meet neighbors, attend programs, build routines and find support close to where they live. If campus still feels new or you are looking for more ways to connect, Residence Life can help you find community in your hall and across campus.

  • Residence Life
    • Find residence hall programs, community events and support from hall staff.
I want to explore fraternity or sorority housing and community.

Fraternity and sorority life is an important part of the campus living experience for many students. For some, it offers a way to build close friendships, develop leadership skills, participate in service and connect to a smaller community within the larger university.

I’m hungry and need to find something to eat.

Food is part of the rhythm of campus life. A meal can be a break between classes, a reason to meet up with friends or the thing that helps you keep going on a long day. Dining Services offers options across campus so students can find something that fits their schedule and location.

I need a quick snack between classes.

Some days do not leave much room for a full meal. A quick stop for coffee, a snack, a drink or something to take with you can make it easier to get through class, work, studying or the walk back to your residence hall.

I want to meet friends, study or spend time on campus.

The Nebraska Union and Nebraska East Union are central gathering spaces for students. They offer places to study, meet friends, attend events, find services, grab food and spend time between classes.

I need to reserve a room, table or space.

Student organizations and campus groups need places to meet, promote programs and host events. Reserve Your Space helps students find rooms, tables and other reservable campus spaces that fit the size and purpose of their activity.

I’m planning an event and need food.

I commute to campus and want to feel connected.

Commuter students can still make campus part of their daily routine. The Unions can be a place to study, rest, eat, meet friends or stay between classes instead of leaving campus right away. Make your time on campus count and spend more of the day at NEBRASKA.

I need help getting around campus or Lincoln.
