Student Life initiatives bring together programs, resources and opportunities that support students throughout their NEBRASKA experience. These efforts reflect the division’s commitment to creating a campus community where students can build meaningful connections, access support, strengthen their well-being and take part in experiences that contribute to their success.

Many of these initiatives are collaborative in nature, connecting Student Life departments with campus partners, community organizations and students themselves. Together, they help address emerging needs, advance divisional priorities and create practical ways for Huskers to engage with the people, places and resources available to them.

We Give Blood Grants

The We Give Blood Grants initiative invests in projects that strengthen health and well-being for Huskers and communities across Nebraska. Supported by the university’s $1 million award from Abbott and the Big Ten, the initiative funds grants, awards and collaborative programs that expand access to wellness resources, support student-led ideas and create lasting positive impact.

Campus Connections Workshops

Campus Connections Workshops bring Student Life expertise to faculty and staff through practical training focused on supporting students. Each session addresses timely student needs, highlights available campus resources and equips participants with strategies they can use to help Huskers navigate challenges and succeed.

Husker GROW

Husker GROW helps students connect what they learn through campus employment and leadership experiences to their coursework, career goals and future success. Through brief, structured conversations with supervisors and mentors, students reflect on the skills they are developing, recognize how those experiences contribute to their growth and learn to communicate the value of what they have gained outside the classroom.
