This award honors a student whose exceptional leadership, collaboration, and integrity have inspired others and strengthened the campus community. The recipient’s lasting contributions, transformational influence, and commitment to service leave a meaningful legacy that elevates the university well beyond their time on campus.
The student recipient will be notified the week of March 9, 2026. A program to honor the awardee will take place Friday, April 17, 2026. The student will receive a $1,000 monetary award.

Recipients of the Vice Chancellor’s Pinnacle Award for Student Leadership demonstrate exceptional leadership marked by integrity, empathy, and sound judgment. They consistently elevate peers and organizations through transformational influence, not only guiding others but also uniting them across different groups, perspectives, or departments. Their leadership is characterized by a collaborative spirit—bringing people together, bridging divides, and fostering environments where shared goals can thrive. Requirements
This award will recognize one undergraduate student. Eligible students must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of junior standing (53 hours completed)
- Enrolled full-time at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln when nominations are due
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Prior recipients will not be considered for awards
