Seven campus events to make you love Valentine's Day

Valentines Day is quickly approaching and campus is buzzing with seven events so you can share the love without breaking the bank.  

Cupid's Mixer

7 to 9 p.m. February 13 | Nebraska Union, Platte River Room  

Ditch the dating apps and take a chance to organically discover new friends or possibly a date for Valentine’s Day.

Think speed dating - with a twist. In a fun and lively atmosphere, attendees will enjoy conversating with new individuals and possibly connect with a potential valentine or at least, make a friend or two.

Condoms, Cookies and Consent

6:30 to 8:30 p.m. February 13 | Nebraska Union, Centennial Room  

A free, inclusive and educational opportunity to explore consent, relationships and sexual health. Stop by multiple booths for free giveaways, cookies, fries, games, activities and information. Enter to win a number of prizes. Bring a friend, date, your roomie, your gals, your pals for a fun night you’ll be sure to remember. Free for all UNL students.

Valentine's Day Cookie Decorating

2 to 4 p.m. February 14 | Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center, Kawasaki Reading Room  

Get creative and decorate Valentine’s Day cookies. Free and open to all UNL students.  

Yoga for Heart

6 to 6:50 p.m. February 10 | Campus Recreation Center, Fitness Studio  

Attend Yoga for Heart to bring focus on the heart chakra. Pillars of the heart chakra are possessing the ability to love yourself and to give and receive love with equal ease. Embark on this Yoga practice to discover a sense of belonging and trusting in your heart as an inner compass.

Partner Yoga

5 to 6 p.m. February 14 | Campus Recreation Center, Fitness Studio  

Celebrate an appreciation for yourself and your buddy by attending this Partner Yoga class. All poses will be fun to try with a partner, so be sure to bring someone along to share the fun with!

I & You

7:30 p.m. February 13 | Temple Building  

Theatrix presents “I & You” by Lauren Gunderson. Performances are Feb 13-16 in the Lab Theatre, 3rd floor of the Temple Building.
