One night only! Enjoy free skating and retro video games as the Nebraska East Union’s Great Plains Room is transformed into an indoor roller skate rink and arcade. This is a first-come, first-served activity. 100 pairs of roller skates will be available for checkout. Each pair will be disinfected between users. Students can bring their own roller skates and rollerblades, too. FREE for UNL students with Event Pass.

Communicating Science: Learnings from Politics and Public Art

6 p.m., April 23  

Nebraska Union, Auditorium  

 

Anna Farro Henderson explores what it meant to research climate science while becoming a mother and how this journey ultimately led her into politics and public art. She is a Canadian American scientist and writer, a fellow at the Institute on the Environment at the University of Minnesota, and an instructor at the Loft Literary Center. Henderson will be signing copies of her book, “Core Samples,” following the lecture. This lecture is sponsored in partnership with the Community Climate Resilience Institute and Norman D. Smith Lecture Series.


Just-In-Time Fair

2 to 4 p.m., April 24

This fair provides students an opportunity to meet with employers for internships and jobs before the semester ends. Open to students of all majors and degree levels to connect with a variety of employers in a casual fair environment.


Sustainable Thrift Pop-Up

2 to 6 p.m., April 24  

Nebraska Union, Plaza  

 

Come shop for second-hand and vintage clothing from local vendors! This event is hosted by the Sustainability Ambassadors as part of Earthstock. Tazza Coffee will be available for purchase. Bring your own cup!


Huskers Soccer

Spend the afternoon watching Huskers soccer as they take on Wyoming.  


Yoga at Sheldon Museum of Art

Campus Recreation is partnering with Sheldon Museum of Art to offer an hour-long class appropriate for all levels. The class is free and open to the public, but space and equipment is limited. Please bring your own mat, towel, or blanket.
