Who can chat with Cornelius?

Texting with Cornelius is available to all undergraduate, degree-seeking students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Eligible students will receive an initial text message. If you need to update your cell phone number, log-in to MyRED

When will Cornelius text me?

Cornelius will send a friendly “hello” to every undergraduate Husker when he first goes live in November. After that, expect check-ins about once a week.

What kind of questions can I ask Cornelius?

Cornelius can help with a wide range of topics, including:

  • Academic Services, like tutoring, academic coaching, or academic advising.
  • Finances, including how to apply for scholarships, financial aid deadlines, or getting connected to Husker Hub.
  • Campus Life, such as details about student organizations or campus events.
  • Health and Well-being including information about the University Health Center, CAPS, and Campus Recreation.
What if Cornelius can't answer my question?

If Cornelius doesn't have the answer you're looking for, you'll get connected with a real person who can help. Cornelius is here to make sure you get the assistance you need, even if that means bringing in additional support.

How do I opt out?

We'd hate to see you go, but if you prefer, you can choose to not respond to messages, or opt-out of future texts by replying STOP.

Can I opt back in?
