More than 230 University of Nebraska-Lincoln employees were honored for their support to students during the annual Parents’ Recognition Awards March 6.

The awards, presented in a ceremony at Willa Cather Dining Complex, were earned through nominations made by parents of Nebraska students. The honors provide encouraging feedback to faculty and staff about their work with students, while inspiring positive student and faculty relationships, giving recognition in an area often overlooked by formal rewards systems.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln has launched a national search to select its next vice chancellor for student affairs.

Wednesday, November 27, 2019 UNL launches program to make counseling services more accessible to students

A trial run for a new program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln aims to test the benefits of placing counselors in residence halls. The Counselor-in-Residence program was started as a trial run in August with the placement of Megan Lawrence, a graduate student in the Marriage and Family Therapy program, in Abel-Sandoz, according to Jake Johnson, assistant vice chancellor for Student Affairs. He said the program is intended to increase student access to counseling and remove the stigmas associated with going to a counselor.
