[Daily Nebraskan] It isn’t the most common sight to see someone over the age of 40 curling dumbbells in a college recreation center, but for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, this is a regular occurrence.

The Campus Recreation Advisory Council provides the opportunity for student involvement and input into facilities, programs and services of Campus Recreation.

In observance of Women’s History Month, Nebraska Today has partnered with the Chancellor’s Commission on the Status of Women to feature female office/service staff who go above and beyond in their work at Dear Old Nebraska U.

Zac Brost, the associate director of Campus Recreation, understands his team’s role in making a positive impact on the student experiences. Among renovations and updates, Zac is passionate about eliminating barriers for students and allowing them to thrive in college and succeed in the future.

[Daily Nebraskan] In a project set to run until the spring semester of 2025, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Campus Recreation Center has been undergoing renovations in order to update locker rooms, create universal access to their pool and add more strength and conditioning space.

Nebraska U’s counselors-in-residence program was mentioned in a Jan. 16 Inside Higher Ed article on universities’ efforts to make the resident assistant position more manageable.

Anyone who eats at the Cather Dining Complex has probably heard Gretchen Hamilton’s voice calling this to them as they walk out the door.
