The Ross Media Arts Center and Vision Maker Media are proud to present a series of free screenings featuring short Native American films and tv programs from the VMM public broadcasting archives. SARV Workshop

Engage in conversation with fellow Huskers in a safe and inclusive environment while increasing a shared sense of responsibility and community. Facilitated by trained undergraduate Huskers CARE Peer Educators, SARV workshops are designed to help undergraduate students gain awareness of and increase understanding of sexual assault and relationship violence.

Homecoming 101 Meeting: What to Expect and How to Get Involved

5 to 6 p.m. September 10 | Nebraska Union, Regency A

This is the first of three student meetings about the upcoming Homecoming activities. Recognized Student Organizations, fraternities, sororities and residence halls are invited to participate in the annual competitions.

Any group considering or planning to participate should have at least one representative attend each of the 3 meetings to review competition rules and information. Organizations can earn 75 point per meeting for attending.

Competing groups need to sign up by September 20 at 4 p.m.

Ice Cream Bike Ride

5 to 7 p.m. September 10 | Outdoor Adventure Center

Get out and explore Lincoln by bicycle and enjoy some ice cream. This is a fun and casual ride to get to know your fellow students and learn more about other outdoor adventure opportunities.

The group will ride from the Outdoor Adventures Center to East Campus for ice cream at the UNL Dairy Store. Bikes, helmets, ice cream, and instruction are all provided.

$5 for students/members. $15 for non-members. Registration deadline: September 9.

Innovation Challenge

The Innovation Challenge invites participants to rethink and enhance existing products or services by strategically removing an element. This exercise, inspired by the concept of “subtractive innovation,” encourages creativity and critical thinking by focusing on what can be eliminated to improve functionality, user experience, or cost-efficiency.

Participants are tasked with identifying components that add complexity or redundancy and envisioning a streamlined version that maintains or enhances core value. This challenge not only fosters innovative problem-solving but also highlights the power of simplicity in driving effective solutions.

You will explore entrepreneurial opportunities and resources on campus during the Entrepreneurship at Nebraska Innovation Hunt.

Pickleball Singles Tournament

Free intramural sports event. Winners will receive this year’s IM Championship t-shirt.

The tournament will be played at the Rec & Wellness Center (RWC) on East Campus. No advanced registration required. Participants need to be checked in on-site by 5:30 p.m. to participate in the tournament.

Pan dulce - which translates to “sweet bread” in American Spanish - is a Mexican pastry tradition that’s considered a delicacy in Hispanic culture. It’s more than just bread, it’s a sweet treat that can spark conversation and honor cultural values like togetherness and food.
