Many activities occur only one or two times in a semester - you either make it or you miss it all together.
Luckily, there are numerous events and meet-ups that recur regularly at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
Here are seven to check out during the spring semester.
Coffee Talks: Conversations between International & Domestic Students
Every Monday | 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Nebraska Union, first floor across from Subway
A weekly gathering for casual and social conversation between international and domestic students. Everyone is welcome to grab a beverage and join the chat to explore cultures, meet friends, and learn about campus.
Dish It Up
Every Tuesday | 12 to 1 p.m.
Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center, OASIS Lounge
Join a lively weekly discussion about current and hot topics affecting students’ lives, the campus, and society in the United States and globally.
Dish It Up is a safe space for students, staff, and faculty to share their personal views, engage in civil discussion, and learn from others.
Huskers Abroad 101
Every Wednesday | 3:30 to 4 p.m.
Louise Pound Hall, Room 137
Join Global Experiences for a 30-minute interactive workshop to help you start planning your global experience. Students will discuss global experience types, funding, the timeline for planning their experience, and thinking through their goals to go abroad.
Just drop in - no preregistration is needed.
Japanese Conversation Tables
Every Wednesday | 5 to 6 p.m.
Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center, Room 302
A weekly in-person activity for all students to casually practice their Japanese-language skills in a welcoming environment without fear of judgment.
Tea Time Fridays
Every Friday | 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Drop by the Kawasaki Reading Room each week for tea and snacks and the opportunity to learn about diversity, inclusion, and global engagement through speakers, discussion, games.
Big Red Pawp Ups
Second Wednesday & Thursday of each month | 12 to 1:30 p.m.
Dinsdale Family Learning Commons (Wednesdays) | Love Library South (Thursdays)
Huskers can cuddle and shake paws with some furry friends between their classes, studying, and activities. Make some time in your schedule to de-stress and unwind with theses certified therapy dogs.
Nonprofit in Residence
Monday–Friday in the last full week of each month | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Nebraska Union, 1st floor outside the NCard Office
The Nonprofit in Residence program enables UNL students to have volunteer and career conversations with local nonprofit organizations, all within the Nebraska Union. Students can learn about industries, internships, and volunteer positions. Each day, one or two different nonprofits will be in attendance.
