Halloween week has arrived! Check out these 11 ghoulishly fun happenings get into a festive mood as October draws to a close.
Boo-Grams Fundraising
11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. October 29 | Nebraska Union
The USITT Student Chapter will be selling Boo-Grams (a lollipop made to look like a ghost) to raise money for their upcoming travels to the National USITT Conference in Ohio.
Greek Street Trick-or-Treat
5 to 7 p.m. October 29 | Nebraska Union, Memorial Plaza
This perennial campus favorite makes a triumphant return to the Halloween scene. Nearly 30 fraternity and sorority chapters will offer Halloween-themed treats, fun, and decorations for the children to enjoy. This activity is free. UNL staff, faculty, and students - as well as alumni and the public - are invited to bring their minor children for the festivities. Minor children must be accompanied by an adult to participate. Children and adults alike are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes. Attendees will first stop at the Nebraska Union’s Memorial Plaza to sign in with the Greek Street team and receive a map. Nine chapters will have activities on the plaza. From the plaza, adults can guide their children at their own pace for trick or treating at 15 additional chapter houses along R Street and 16th Street.
Little Monster Mash
5 to 7 p.m. October 29 | Nebraska Union, The Crib
Enjoy a multitude of Halloween-themed hands-on crafts and activities for kids and adults. Explore face painting, decorating cookies, and other fun activities. Attendees will leave with Halloween themed goodies. This event is for children 2 to 10 years.
Worm Halloween
6 to 7 p.m. October 29 | Nebraska Union
Join the a href="https://unl.campuslabs.com/engage/event/10577145">Women and Underrepresented Genders in the Sciences Club for a worm-themed Halloween event. They will be enjoying some Halloween vibes by making dirt pudding cups and watching a worm presentation.
Nightmare on R Street
8 to 11 p.m. October 29 and 30 | Phi Delta Theta House
The chapter house of Phi Delta Theta is transforming into a haunted house attraction. This event will cost $7 per person and all funds are donated to the Live Like Lou Foundation.
Pumpkin Painting and Sticker Decorating
5:30 to 7:30 p.m. October 30 | Nebraska Union, Ballroom
Out of the Darkness UNL has small pumpkins to paint for attendees as well as a sticker decorating option for their annual sticker sale.
Halloween Show by Take Note
6:30 to 8:30 p.m. October 30 | Nebraska Union
the student acapella group will performs a live Halloween show.
Sinister 16 48-Hour Fear Fest Screening
7:15 to 8:15 p.m. October 30 | Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center
The student organization Cinema 16 presents a follow-up activity to their Sinister 16 48-Hour Fear Film Fest. All of the student-made films are screened with people's choice and judges' choice winners.
Husker Haunt
6 to 9 p.m. October 30 | Nebraska East Union
Enjoy a fun-tastic night of indoor Halloween-themed activities and treats, all in one location. Wear a favorite Halloween costume and bring your crew for:

Ross Fright Fest
5 p.m. and 7 p.m. October 31 | Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center
It's the final night of the theater's month-long film festival. On this evening, enjoy special 3-D screenings of the films CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON (1954) and Alfred Hitchcock's DIAL M FOR MURDER (1954). Tickets are $5 for UNL students and $8 for general admission.
An Uncanny Halloween
5 to 8 p.m. October 31 | Sheldon Museum of Art
The art museum presents a 21 year and over Halloween event with flashlight tours of the exhibition “Uncanny Encounters: The Disturbing, Surreal, and Supernatural in American Art,” oracle card readings, Minerva’s haunted gallery games, a costume contest, and cash bar with Halloween spirits.
