With the morning sun streaming through the Van Brunt Visitors Center, Corey Raydo sat quietly at a table, schedule in hand, thinking about what was to come at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Admitted Student Day.
His calm shifted when Interim Chancellor Katherine S. Ankerson stopped to visit with the Omaha senior and Regents Scholar.
“I’m definitely coming here in the fall because I want to be a part of the Raikes program,” Raydo said, when asked about his plans. “It’s an amazing program that offers cool internships and a Startup Studio, which is something I really want to get into. Being part of a cohort where everyone is excited about the same things — that’s what really drew me.”
