The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is preparing to deliver more than 60,000 cloth masks to its students, instructors, researchers and staff. Every member of the campus community will receive two cloth masks — one red, one black.

Thursday, April 23, 2020 UNL community comes together, donates 1,964 masks for staff and students

UNL sent a request for more than 1,000 masks for essential workers about two weeks ago. As of Tuesday night, about 1,964 masks had been donated for an identified 1,765 people, which includes individuals who work on campus and students remaining on campus.

Grace Ellis, a sophomore in secondary education from Waverly, Nebraska, stayed on campus to serve as a resident assistant and work as a desk assistant in University Suites.

Friday, April 17, 2020 Bikes to be held through fall

Given the unanticipated moves that took place due to COVID-19 this spring, more than 100 bicycle owners may have forgotten to retrieve their property from campus bike racks.

To help prevent theft and vandalism, University Housing and University Police will inventory and move bikes that have not been placed in “safe racks” by May 8. Bikes will be placed in a secure location and need be claimed prior to September 28, 2020.
