Free Group Fitness Classes
Daily, August 22–28 | Campus Rec Center + Rec & Wellness Center
All week long you can enjoy the instructor-led exercise classes for no fee at the two rec centers on campus. Classes start in the morning and continue throughout the day and into the evening.

LGBTQA+ Welcome Back Celebration
August 25 | 5:30 to 7 p.m. | Nebraska Union, Heritage Room and Regency Suite
New and returning students to campus should stop by for a casual and fun introduction to the LGBTQA+ Center, to connect with related RSOs, and to play team-building activities with other students.

Outdoor Film: LIGHTYEAR
August 25 | 8 p.m. | Donald & Lorena Meier Commons (green space north of Nebraska Union)
Enjoy free popcorn, drinks, and prizes during the film screening of LIGHTYEAR on a 20-foot outdoor screen. Bring blankets and chairs for a fantastic evening event with your friends. Rain location will be held in Willa Cather Dining Complex in the Red Cloud Suite.

A free evening festival with a live DJ, Kona Ice, and cultural performances by UNL student organizations.

Big Red Lied Experience, featuring Tinashe
August 26 | 7:30 p.m. | Lied Center for Performing Arts
An exclusive concert by award-winning R&B artist Tinashe is available to the first 3,000 UNL students to claim their FREE ticket. Tickets are available online to UNL students only on a first-come, first-served basis. Prior to the performance, there will be a festival with free food, club booths, photo opportunities, and other fun festivities hosted by special guest D-Wayne. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

OASIS Kick-off
August 28 | 1 to 3 p.m. | Nebraska Union
Experience an engaging cultural performance by Samba Colorado as they share a traditional Brazilian dance. This will be a don’t-miss fun welcome-back celebration for every Husker.
Samba Colorado is devoted to fostering and educating communities through Samba and African Brazilian dance tradition, music, storytelling, and arts education while improving individual life enrichment through a positively conscious, inclusive, and diverse environment.
