Tuesday, March 15, 2022 Food drive to collect 2,022 items for Husker Pantry
University of Nebraska–Lincoln students average more than 1,000 monthly visits to the Husker Pantry locations on City and East Campus, translating into almost 6,000 items distributed every month to help Huskers with food insecurity.
Between March 21–25, the pantry will have a Spring Food Drive where they ask the community to help donate 2,022 items.
The Spring Food Drive is one of only two annual collection drives coordinated directly by the pantry and its volunteers.
The pantry provides two on-campus locations to assist UNL students with food, toiletries and personal hygiene items, school supplies and cleaning products. It relies on donations to keep the shelves stocked so students do not suffer from hunger. All donations benefit UNL students.
There are two ways to donate items to the pantry:
- Purchase online via the pantry’s Amazon Marketplace wishlist. Items are shipped and delivered directly to the pantry location inside the University Health Center.
- Drop off locally-purchased items at one of 20 collection bins located on City and East Campuses. Find a location here.
