Love Your Heart
Daily events February 21–25
Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death for all persons living in America, and the disease disproportionately impacts minority groups such as Black communities, Hispanics and American Indians/Alaska Natives.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is raising awareness and education with Love Your Heart, a week-long series of seven heart health events for diverse students. Students have the chance to win $150 for their RSO if they participate in the "Know Your Numbers" Feb. 21 or the Free Breakfast and Wellness Profiles on Feb. 23. REACH Training for Students
February 24 | 3:30 to 5 p.m. | University Health Center, Room 126
Suicide prevention is a shared campus responsibility. REACH is an interactive 90-minute training designed to help the university community prevent suicide by teaching faculty, staff and students how to recognize warning signs; engage with empathy; communicate hope; help suicidal individuals to access care and treatment; and more.

All students who are in the process of applying for Education Aboard opportunities should attend this event. Nominations deadline for Women of Courage, Character, and Commitment Awards
February 25
Each year, women leaders within our campus and Lincoln communities are recognized as Women of Courage, Character, and Commitment. Nominations are sought of women in as many different fields and roles as possible. Honorees will be acknowledged at the Women's History Month Celebration on March 24.
All members of the university community are invited to nominate a woman who has made a positive impact in your life through professional, personal, mentoring, or peer relationships.
