Career Fair
February 14–17
It's the best chance to connect in person with employers offering internships and full-time job opportunities. Career focus areas are assigned to different days to help you strategically target your time. Plan to come on the days with opportunities that match your interest areas – employers will want to meet you.
The fair is in the Nebraska Union on Feb. 14, 15, and 16, and the Nebraska East Union on Feb. 17.

Global Café: Teaching Abroad

Join a roundtable with five UNL graduates who have followed their wanderlust to pursue jobs teaching abroad. Panelist will share their experiences teaching, working and living abroad in Costa Rica, Japan, France, South Korea, and Spain. Learn about best ways to go abroad, how to prepare to take your life abroad, and why you too should follow a similar path.

Tackling the Complex Dynamics of Race, Sports and Social Justice

The University Honors Program’s Cooper Conversation series will highlight the personal experiences of athletes and their advocates and discuss contemporary issues and their historical context in college and professional sports, the media, and the sports industry.
Featured presenters are Nebraska Athletics’ Lawrence Chatters, executive associate athletic director for diversity, equity and inclusion; Jaime Williams, former Husker and NFL tight end, educator and athletic director; Jay Foreman, former Husker and NFL linebacker; and Michael Rose-Ivey, former Husker linebacker.

Free STI Testing

Free, anonymous and confidential HIV and STI testing with same-day results. No appointment required - just show up. All people 13 years or older are eligible to be tested. Anyone who is sexually active should be tested annually for HIV.

Couch to 5.10
February 16 | 8 to 10 p.m. | Outdoor Adventures Center
In this rock climbing course for beginners, the Outdoor Adventures staff will get you off the couch and start your training toward scaling 5.10’s with skills and confidence. Cost is $55 for UNL students and campus rec members. $85 for non-members.

A member of the Exonerated Five, Kevin D. Richardson uses his personal experiences as an advocate for criminal justice reform and is a partner of the Innocence Project, helping to exonerate wrongfully convicted people and to bring about change.
This speaking event is free for UNL students with Event Pass.
