Friday, January 19, 2024 9 campus-wide events to look forward to during spring semester

Adventure, dancing, sports, clubs, careers, and more. Mark your calendars for these nine spring semester campus-wide events you won’t want to miss.

Spring Nvolvement Fair

4 to 7 p.m., February 1 @ Nebraska Union, Centennial Room and Ballroom

Formerly known as the Spring Club Fair, students can explore and interact with a multitude of recognized student organizations (RSOs) for social, professional, and leadership interests.

RSO members and officers will be on hand to provide details about their organization and answer questions from prospective new members.

This event is free and casual in nature.

All Huskers are encouraged to get involved in at least two organizations during their college years: one associated with academics and one associated with an interest. Joining an organization is an easy way to meet new people, learn a new hobby or interest, or pursue something for which you are passionate.

University Career + Internship Fair

12 to 4 p.m., February 13 – 15 @ Nebraska Union Centennial Room

The University Career + Internships Fairs gives students the chance to connect with hundreds of local, national, and global employers to learn more about their available job and internship opportunities. This event is open to students of all program levels (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, graduate).

Hosted by University Career Services

HuskerThon

March 2

Dance the night away and be a part of one of the largest student org fundraisers of the year. During the 8-hour “Dance Marathon" UNL students and the Miracle Kids who have been treated at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha come together to celebrate the money raised and dance for those who can't.

Dancing is integrated with live acts such as a children’s talent show, crafts and activities for all ages, and even shaving heads for the kids to give families and children affected a day without the worries associated with their numerous stays in the hospital.

Hosted by the Dance Marathon RSO
