Homecoming at NEBRASKA is much more than an autumn football game and student royalty. There are activities each day for entertainment, giving back, and showing your Husker spirit.
Here are great activities that every student should seek out.
Showtime at Vine Street Fields
Monday, September 27 | 8 p.m. | Vine Street Fields (17th & Vine)
Students can join the large audience crowd to watch as recognized student organizations, fraternity and sorority groups, and residence halls compete with performances for Homecoming competition points and ultimate bragging rights.
Blood Drive
Daily, Monday–Thursday
This is the single-largest annual blood drive in the state of Nebraska. A few spots remain open to donate at both East Campus and City Campus. Sign up here.
Food Drive for Husker Pantry
All Week. Donations due by 4 p.m. October 1
Help Huskers-in-need by participating in the campus food drive with a goal of raising 3,000 non-perishable food items, hygiene products, cleaning products, and school supplies for the Husker Pantry. Find donation bin locations and the link to the pantry's Amazon wishlist here.
Homecoming Cornhole Tournament
Wednesday, September 29 | 2 to 6 p.m. | Memorial Stadium
Cheer on your favorite team-of-two representing student organizations as they battle against other pairs of two in the classic lawn game of cornhole (a.k.a. bags). The top three placing teams will receive Homecoming Competition points.
Homecoming Concert, featuring YUNG GRAVY and EVAN GIIA
Thursday, September 30 | 8 p.m. | East Campus Mall
The concert is open to current, fee-paying undergraduate and graduate students at UNL, as well as faculty and staff. The Event Pass and a “building access granted” status on the Safer Community app are required to enter the fenced-in area near the stage. The concert is presented by the University Program Council and local radio station 106.3 KFRX. Shuttles to and from East Campus will be available to students with their NCard.
Homecoming Parade + Cornstock Festival
Friday, October 1 | 5 to 8 p.m. | Memorial Stadium East Plaza
Watch student organizations, community groups, homecoming royalty, the Cornhusker Marching Band, and some special guests as they perform in the annual parade. Participants will include floats, golf carts, performances and more. The parade route ends at the Cornstock Festival, where everyone can enjoy food trucks, 1,200 free ears of corn-on-the-cob, a Ferris wheel, games for adults and children, a balloon artist and more. You can get in the Husker spirit while enjoying live music from Noah Floerschand and performances from Nebraska students during the Jester Competition.
Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center Hall of Fame Ceremony

Homecoming Lawn Displays
October 1 & 2
Go for a walk to check out the Homecoming lawn displays from fraternities and sororities participating in the annual competition. All displays will include the 2021 theme of “The Good Life.” Displays will remain all weekend.
