Open REACH Training for Students
October 6 | 1:30 to 3 p.m. | University Health Center, Room 126
Suicide prevention is a shared campus responsibility. REACH is an interactive 90-minute training to teach students, faculty, and staff how to recognize warning signs, communicate hope, and help suicidal individuals to access care and treatment.
Participants who complete the full 90-minute training receive a certificate and a REACH lapel pin.

KRR AnimeCon
October 6 | 2 to 6 p.m. | Nebraska Union, Ballroom
An afternoon of cosplay, singing, campus club booths, and Anime – all indoors together in the heart of campus.
From 2 to 3 p.m. check out the exhibitions and t-shirts. Sing Karaoke and taste Japanese snacks from 3 to 4 p.m.Dr. Otaku will speak on “One Piece” from 4 to 5 p.m.

Mountain Bike Ride
October 6 | 5 to 7 p.m. | Meet at the Outdoor Adventures Center
Join local trail bikers for a few hours of fun and instructions. No prior experience is required – instructors will teach the basics of mountain biking during the outing.
The group will travel 4 miles from campus to Van Dorn Park, which features a 1.5-mile loop of fast and smooth single-tract mountain bike trails. With optional technical features, it is the perfect spot for beginners and people who want to take their biking to the next level.
Cost is $10 fro UNL students and Campus Rec members; $20 for non-members. Register in advance.
