Friday, May 20, 2022 Student Affairs staff honored at Inspiring Excellence Awards

During an afternoon reception, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Laurie Bellows recognized more than 20 staff members for their outstanding contributions over the past year. Hosted at Willa Cather Dining Center on May 20, the annual Inspiring Excellence Awards celebrated individuals and teams for their efforts to cultivate student success through engagement, well-being and a commitment to diversity.

Thursday, April 7, 2022 Pollard, Tetreault honored for dedication to students

Ann Marie Pollard, associate professor of practice in the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film, and Pat Tetreault, director of the LGBTQA+ Center and Women’s Center, were honored with the James V. Griesen Exemplary Service to Students award at a reception April 1.

The Red Memorial, an annual University of Nebraska–Lincoln remembrance for the lives of students, faculty, staff and alumni who died during the current academic year, will take place April 8.

With an eye on starting her future and a desire to learn more about Nebraska, Husker Emma Schmidt is spending her summer assisting K-12 youth in Scottsbluff. A resident assistant in her residence hall recommended she apply for the HALO program, which is giving her opportunities to learn skills outside of her major.

Friday, July 2, 2021 Voluntary vaccine registry launches; first giveaway is July 5

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s voluntary COVID-19 Vaccine Registry is live for students, faculty and staff. Announced June 23 by Chancellor Ronnie Green, the registry allows vaccinated Huskers to record their status, earning an exemption from university plans for regular saliva-based COVID-19 testing in the fall.
